Re: 48v Club Car DS has 6 - 6 volt batteries
I've seen lots worse. The tops look fine. Get yourself a good voltmeter and get some voltage readings. Also make sure that the batteries are properly filled. IF they are low, use distilled water to fill them to the proper level. Only do this after charging.

Also, once you get your battery issue fixed, you might check into that red wire that is on the battery close to the front of cart. That is some accessory wire, that more than likely is running 12 volt accessories on 16 volts.

Re: 48v Club Car DS has 6 - 6 volt batteries
Put a multimeter on each battery (still connected), all read between 8 and 8.5v. The read wire in front is the headlights that were added from what I can tell.
Doing more research tonight. |

Oh, the yellow that looks like corrosion at the base of the batteries was where an accessory battery was sitting for a radio. He used the expanding foam under it to prevent it from rattling.

Re: 48v Club Car DS has 6 - 6 volt batteries
Your not sure how to load test ? You can use the Multimeter , just hook it up to the pack (or each one separate, one at a time) so you can see it while driving and record what voltage you see while at rest , at take off , cruising and uphill ....or get a battery load tester ...
