i put a 3" jakes lift on my 95 clubcar and the bottom of the rear shock had an eye for the bolt so i had to bend the bracket that the shock mounts to but now i only get mayby an inch before the shock bottoms out is this normal couldnt remember how much travel before lift

that isn't right. i think you have the wrong rear lift bracketry. i know a rear shock for a 76 or so chevette will work on a 6 inch lift on tha vintage club car. not sure if it has the correct travel for a 3 inch. i would call where you got lift and describe the problem to them and see if they can help.

the more i think about it, i remember that they gave me shock extenders with my 6 inch allsports kit. 2 per side. these threaded on the top of the shock and the bottom mounted as stock. mayber there was 1 perside in your kit that was missed?

Thats the way i see it to

I think you would have to flip them, but you would have to switch sides to make that set up work, Hey just my 2 cent

Every one I have lifted I just removed the shock completely..... Gave the cart a little more "springy" feel but rides fine......
