Default 1999 club car body work

Hey guys, getting my 99 club car ready to paint. I need to do a few small body repairs first. Are the club cars just straight fiber glass or plastic bodies? What should I use to fill the scratches? Any tips would be great too...

Just buy a new body, they are cheap and go on and off quick enough. I got mine here http://www.americanliftkits.com/club...stic-body-set/ shipping was only $100... so for bought $500 i got a brand new, painted body!

From everything I've learned:

1981-1992 Club Car DSs have fiberglass rear bodies. The front cowls can be either plastic or fiberglass.

From 1993-up all body panels are plastic.

Those bodies arnt painted they are solid color clear thru so if they get scratched it is still same color and the paint would not start pealing realy a good deal if they have one in the color you want.

I like the idea of a new body but don't want to spend the extra money if I don't have to. Being in Canada I get nailed pretty good for shipping from the US. with that in mind I think i will be painting it. so for plastic bodies can i go from sanding straight to primer? Or do I need an adhesive promoter?
