ezgo st 480 winch installation
have a 2001 ezgo st 480 workhorse and want to hook up winch. It came prewired for winch and has 3 pin plug for controller. can anyone tell me what winch will just plug up and work without any modification? I just want small winch 1500 to 3000 lb. thanks

The first pic is of three pin winch plug receiver for controller and the other is of quick connect to winch

Most winches will come with contactors and their own proprietary adapters. You can likely reuse the existing wiring, but may have to splice in new connections. I have never seen a winch that uses an Anderson plug for a power lead.

Thanks kab69. Did not know that plug was called "Anderson". I will just put that type plug on my winch.
Can anyone tell me what type winch controller will plug into existing connector in picture? Thanks |

My old Harbor Freight winch (no longer available) had a similar three pin connector. The new one has a five pin connector.
