Unhappy Columbia ParCar Vin # locate

Tech Support , I have a 85 or older Columbia ParCar with a harley Motor. I cant find a vin # anywhere on it since its been modified . the only numbers ive found are on the starter/generater #30089-69c and on the rear end # 825218-1x . Is there anyway to cross referance these to find my vin# so I can get it registered?

Not all Columbia carts have VIN numbers. Serial numbers yes but VIN's no.

Columbia Parcar did not introduce LSV's with VIN's until 2000.

All the vehicle's had VIN's, just not the 17 digit variety until the LSV's. The non-LSV's are usually 13 digit now, but were as low as 8 digit in the past, and that includes the dashes. but whether you call it a VIN or a Serial, a number was on it someplace. Even the little grocery cart puller had them.

I doubt you will be able to register your cart as a street legal LSV.

Arizona Revised Statute 28-101.32, states that the cart has to have a 17 digit VIN issued by the manufacturer as per the definition and standards for low speed vehicles set forth in federal motor vehicle safety standard 500 and 49 Code of Federal Regulations sections 571.3(b) and 571.500, respectively.

Doug is right, unless you are able to get inspected and approved as a homemade, your stuck on the trails.

Since this cart has been modified so much and there are no numbers avalible we will be appling for a homemade construction certificate and will be getting a new title and purchasing a tag for off road only use. If caught without the tag on any off road toys in arizona is a 250.00 fine ouch !

So why don't you just get a tag off a scrap cart and put on it?
I know of someone that could come up with a tag for you.
