Default 2000 regen charge problems

I am working on a 2000 regen system and can not get the charger to kick in and stay on. I replaced the original batteries in the cart with new trojan batteries. After that i could not get the charger to work. I have checked the wiring to make sure it was right, I even replaced the obc because on the black wire from the charger receptacle it only reads 34 volts, (the battery pack reads 4. I can get the charger to work if i bypass the relay and even installed a new relay. Checked the fuse in the small gray wire from the charger recepticle and it was good as well. The amp gauge does not work on the charger even when the relay is bypassed but there is a complete cuircut threw it. I dont know where to look next. Thanks brian

What is the pack voltage? Double check the wiring to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be. If the charger is only seeing 34v the voltage is too low for the charger to kick on. Check the stickies to see if the wiring diagram for you cart is there.

curently the pack voltage is 44.5 and the voltage at the black wire coming from the computer to the charger recepticle is 32 volts, the voltage in the small gray wire with the fuse is 42 volts. But i will look at the wiring diagram

Also make sure you did not run the wire through the OBC in reverse direction.
Yes it matters !
