Default F/R control question....

Working on my newly acquired '85 Club Car Electric, 5-solenoid resistor cart. I am replacing the 6g cables with 4g welding cable, soldered lugs with shrink tubing. There are 2 cables on the F/R assembly that pivot back and forth as the switch assembly rotates. See video:




This looks to be engineered this way, but I just wanted to confirm that these two cables are really supposed to be doing what the video shows. Thanx.

Thanx DS. It sure looked that way, but I'm new at the CC sparky thing. One thing I learned when building up my TXT was "if ya don't know, ask someone who does."

Maybe add in some dielectric grease?

And yes, VERY silly. It bothered me so much I had to ask the experts! Thanx fellas!

They have a smaller hole in the lug too? ....dielectric grease is a great idea... are the cables done yet Did you raise the voltage in Reverse?
