Default 1996 E-Z GO Medalist help

I am thinking about buying a 1996 E-Z Go medalist but want to know an estimate of how much i will be spending to make it a nice lifted golf cart. I am new to golf carts and dont know very much about them, also what type of batteries would i be using in it? would it be a standerdized battery or a battery specific to a 1996 medalist?
Here are some pictures

That looks more like a TXT than a medalist.

Quality Golf cart batteries are made by Trojan, US Battery or Interstate and come in either 6volt or 8 volt for that cart.

Do do a quality, long lasting lift on that cart I would suggest being prepared to spend between $1500 and $3000 (lift, tires, wheels, upgrades to electronics.....) . Do a search and you will find plenty of ideas put into practice, choose the one you like the best and we will be happy to help you make it happen.

Owners manuals are I believe in the stickies.....

oh sorry, i just so happen to be the worst researcher ever and after about 2 hours of scouring the web saw a pic of a medalist and decided thats what this was, but about the lift kit, i know it would look dumb but because im on a budget would a 300 dollar lift kit without wheels and all those other things be okay and gradually put better wheels tires and other parts on it? and i think i found an owners manual
"http://www.eastcoastcarts.com/images/stories/tech_manuals/EZGO_Electric_with_PDS.pdf" but im going to need six, six volt batteries to power this baby right?

those rims actually look larger than the standard 10" rims. how large are they? you may be able to just get some bigger tires to put on them.

for 300 bucks, you should easily be able to find a lift for it. i think scotty was selling some spindle lifts for 250?

6 of what you posted would work, but those are the low end of the battery spectrum.

Those were 1800's you want the 2200's for better run time/battery life overall.

Bouble diddo Stay away from the low end batteries unless you live in a flat trailer park setting where you just ride around the parking lot a little.... they just can't hold as much amperage as the bigger batts.
