Default Looking for first electric cart

I am looking to buy my first electric cart. I have narrowed it down between the ezgo club car and yamaha . Are there any advantages of the brands, or is it more of a ford and chevy preference. The ones i have found all have lifts and larger tires. 48volts. I will probably be looking to upgrade it for more speed in the future, and was also wondering if any of the brands were easier to get more speed out of them. Thanks for any info

You will find a bit of a Ford v. Chevy debate. But stay with the 3 you mentioned and find something you like.

Performance wise they all have about the same. The gear ratio and tire sizes so the speed is about the same. The Ezgo has the easiest access to its controller for upgrading. Club Car controller is behind the batteries, not easy. And Yamaha access is from the rear which is okay unless you add a rear seat. Then you will be removing the rear seat to do much of anything.
CC is lighter aluminum frame. This results in a better power to weight ratio. But the aluminum frames are subject to stress cracks. Generally these are the 3 major makers like Ford, Chevy, Dodge for trucks. I've have good carts and good trucks from all 3. Good Luck in your search.

Do any of those brands hold their value better than the other?

Are you looking at buying new, or just what is it you want to buy?
