Default Trash Can Haulin!

Ive been using this trash can transport system for a few months now & it works pretty good. If you have a long haul to put your cans out, its a great way to put your cart to good use; & if you don't have a cart yet, its a great justification for getting one (in case you sig other requires such!)

Seems like it is more trouble hooking them together than just taking them out 1 by 1.

I agree on the clevis pin use. My solution would be to make the hooks out of flat light weight spring steel so the can handle would be pushed into the hook past a narrow point where it could rest in the bottom of the hook and not come out until pulled out past the narrow point.
Take my idea - make it and prosper

Been using mine about eight years. One at a time gives me more seat time in the cart. :)

Yeah with the current system, the pins can be a bit fiddly. Doing the cans on a one-by-one basis is an option, but that option has diminishing returns as your distance increases, if you consider time a factor. Sometimes I do one-by-one on the can pickups since I have to take the cart to get the mail everyday anyway. I think your idea Scotty is good & simple... I had postulated about spring-loaded gates akin to a carabiner, but that could be kind of involved.
