48v Voltage Reducer Switch Question
This may have been asked a million times, but what type of Switch for a 48V Voltage Reducer ( Voltage and amp-wise) do I need? All I could find are regular automotive 15 volt switches The Reducer is coming from Carts Unlimited ScottyB`s. I know very little to nothing about this stuff. Thanks.

Re: 48v Voltage Reducer Switch Question
You Something equivalent to a common automotive key switch. Any toggle or rocker switch rated 20 amps at 15v is fine to turn the reducer on & off.

Re: 48v Voltage Reducer Switch Question
you don't necessarily need a dedicated switch to turn it on, it has an activation wire you can hook into the key switch to turn on any time the cart is on, if you want a dedicated switch, then pretty much any automotive switch will work (12volt) on the activation wire, as it will not be pulling any amps through it.

If your reducer does not have a switchable on/off circuit then use a charger type relay to turn it on/off. |

Re: 48v Voltage Reducer Switch Question
I wired mine on a separate 12 volt switch as I did not like the fact of it being on all the time with the key{ mine is not a negative switch), all I use it for are lights and a cig lighter for other things, so no need for it to be on all the time.

Re: 48v Voltage Reducer Switch Question
Great! Thanks, guys. Yeah, when I bought the reducer I read where it said you could hook it up to the Key unless it was an older CC. Mine`s a 99 so I`m not sure how old you meant. Thanks, again
