Battery Load tester
I went out and bought a load tester today and have a question (hope not a stupid one). When I'm checking the batteries do I need to disconnect them so they are all tested stand alone or is it fine to do it with them all hooked up? I tried searching the forum but couldn't find my answer. Thanks for the responses.

Thanks, one more quick question. I'm guessing they need to be fully charged before I test them, is that correct?

don't forget to put the TOW/RUN switch ( if you have one) into TOW...
too many people mess us their controller accidently messing with the batts |

You can do it with them all connected, but ......Technically on a load test you should disconnect. My battery distributor said the big carbon pile 500 amp type testers can pull amperage from the adjacent batteries, I verified this with a DVM clipped onto the adjacent battery. You simply need to disconnect one end of each of the 5 battery cables to accomplish a disconnect. Assuming a 6 battery pack.
