Default G16 feels unstable, walks to side

I have a g16 with the 4” economy lift and when driving it feels a bit un stable at times. Can be going straight and slight movement makes it feel as if it walks to the side of the road with body roll as if I turned it 1/4 turn. I have squared toe in but seems as if the rear axle is 1” left

Is there any play in the steering? This sounds like bump steer... in golf carts it is pretty typical of worn tie rod ends. It would be worth jacking the front end up in the air and checking the king pins and other suspension components for play as well. My G9 had bad bump steer until I replaced the king pin bushings, after that it was solid as a rock.

I agree. It's likely worn front end and steering parts. Have someone wiggle the steering wheel while you are under the cart looking at all the parts. Also, lift up the front end and wiggle the tires up and down, if there is movement you have worn spindle bushings or wheel bearings. All common things on an old cart.

On my G16 with the economy "plate" lift it was very unstable at speed.

I took all that off and installed a Jakes A arm kit and it would run 40mph with no issue (VC625 engine).
