Default 48v upgrade vs Plum Quick upgrade

Ok, I have anfew threads going but thought it better to separate this out.

I have just done the hd fr contactor, 500a controller, 200/800 hd solenoid and 4g cables to my 36v 93 ezgo.

Now my question, would I get more from an upgrade to 48v? Or Plum Quick motor and stay on 36v?

it's not really the same cost difference between the two so it's kind of hard to compare that way

my opinion would be 48 volts is a better upgrade. also more expensive

48v hands down
48v = 33% more speed and torque from stock motor. You can't beat that.

Thumbs up Re: 48v upgrade vs Plum Quick upgrade

There is no substitution for voltage in anything!

Voltage makes HP, HP makes speed!
Not knocking PQ motors at all but if you want better torque and speed just put a 36 volt wound motor on 48 volts. You will feel the differance. Doesn't matter who's motor it is.

Good news for me is I just bought the batteries (6-6v) two weeks ago, on first charge the solenoid and controller fried. It was a cart I picked up from a buddy and it was old, and honestly I think the battery place miswired something.

So, since I have gone with all the upgrades and can handle 48v, battery place is going to let me swap out the 6v for 8v and only charge me the difference, which for me is like 6 bucks a battery, so $36 bucks. He is also going to swap the charger at no cost.

So, it's kind of a no brainer.

If you are upgrading, why not do both? Have PQ upgrade the 36 on top of converting to 48 volts
