Default Looking to beat a Jeep

I bet my friend that i could beat his jeep in a 1/8 mile race in a golf cart. First, is this possible, second, how would i go about doing it. I have an old model (1997) gas club car. It is all stock. How do i get the fastest acceleration and beat his jeep. It is a 01 grand Cherokee, with a V8.

Errr... thanks. I was hoping that you would not say that. First, it is not that nice. Second, is there an engine swap option?

there are MANY engine swaps. look under the big block section. if you have fab skills, you can pretty much put anything you want in a cart, depending on size, of course.

put a street bike motor in it. that might be able to win but it would be highly unstable at those speeds.

Listen guys, I own a Grand Cherokee, and your not gonna beat it with any reasonable cart conversion. The darn thing makes big traction and goes like snot. A cart turns 1 wheel in anger trying to haul itself down the road. It's not gonna happen.

And BTW, what part wasn't nice Cakes? I don't get it.

Here's what you need to do if you want to beat this guy. Buy an old Suzuki Samuri then stuff a 383 stroker in there. Pull the body off and put the golf cart frame on top of the sami. It won't really be a golf cart anymore but you will win the bet.
