Default Duromax xp16 Exhaust header

I'm starting the swap on my Yamaha G2 ( 4 stroke) to a Duromax xp16xp motor. The exhaust port as it exits the head is at a 45 degree angle unlike other clone motors. The header I got doesn't even fit as the stud centers are wider than the header.
I plan to use the yamaha starter/generator and want to set the cart up to idle also, I will be ditching the stock muffler and fuel tank.

Has anyone ran into this issue on a new Duromax?
Thanks

I have an older Duromax it does not have an angled exhaust port . You have to actually cut and fab up the pipe if that is the case

I was able to mod the stock flange from the G9 to fit a clone 420cc, I made the holes larger or something. Then welded a pipe to that and bolted it on. On the next cart I had robertson make me a header that rotates, so that one I mounted the muffler on the frame on rubber hangars, its not on the cradle. It works well. Yes exhaust is often the hardest part to fab up if you can't buy a part just for that swap. If you want it quiet its even harder to do that but possible. I use a car muffler and its as quiet as a garden tractor I'd say, quieter than most atv are. I wish I could make it quieter at night but I don't use it much then anyway. Also I don't have a tailpipe on it just a chrome tip. A tailpipe makes a car muffler quieter but I'm pleased with the sound it only gets that loud at WOT its pretty quiet taking it easy.

Here is my robertson torque tubes header when I first put it in. I used an acura quietflow muffler. He made it slip fit, so I welded the center together at length I wanted. I welded the coupler together kind of a pain should have had him do that lol.

Could you just swap in a std clone clone head ? An empty head is $40 or so.

Possibly, it is strange that the head port is at a 45 and the standard 420 clone header has to be opened out for the studs to fit.

Starting to put the new motor in today, stripped out the governor and will keep the revs low to start. Plan to lower the swingarm down and back while the motor is out.

That head is definitely different from anything I have seen. Nice job on the installation. HAVE FUN.

The air cleaner is a temp install, adapting a air cleaner from a Weber carb for the longer term. Still need to figure out the choke as it starts hard in 30-40 degree temps.

Nowhere else have I seen a head with a 45 degree exhaust port like this.

Also plan to do a different gen/starter adjuster at some point.
