06 Precedent won't go
I just bought an 06 precedent & it was running fine. It looks like the seller charged the batteries prior to delivery so there was some acid on top of the batteries. After riding around a couple of minutes, I took some baking soda & scattered it across the tops of the batteries. I then washed it off with a water hose not knowing that the controller was under the plastic cover between the batteries. I know that this area received some water & moisture. I let it dry a while & now it won't go. I turn the key on, depress the accelerator & I can hear the clicking of the solenoid engaging but it won't go. I followed some instructions I found on here to reset the OBC but that didn't work either. Any suggestions? Could it be the solenoid or do you think I fried the controller?

Re: 06 Precedent won't go
The first thing I'd do is turn the switch to "TOW" and then pull the cover between the batts. off and dry/air out as much moisture as you can....even encourage the drying with a hair dryer with the blow nozzle attached....women have the best accessories
Removing the moisture may be all it needs...good luck |

Re: 06 Precedent won't go
Boy this thing is touchy, at a lot of courses it is normal to lift the seat and wash the carts batteries every month or so. Of course this is generally done at the end of the day
so it sits overnight ? |

Thanks for the response. I will try that out when I get home this afternoon.

Re: 06 Precedent won't go
Well, I had a loose terminal on the solenoid that shorted out the resistor between the 2 big terminals. I have installed a HD solenoid & a STD resistor & it still won't go. Batteries are fine on voltage & all wiring has been checked & double checked for tightness. Could this be the Microswitch for the F&R selector?
