First Start After Maintenance
New to golf carts and picked up a 2000 Gas Club Car. PO was attempting to paint but got stuck at the FNR switch. Bought her on the word it was running "really well"....
Got her home, removed the FNR switch and the body. I have completed the following maintenance procedures with info from lurking here: Drained and cleaned gas tank. Blew out gas lines. Cleaned fuel pump. Replaced fuel filters. Replaced oil, oil filter and spark plug. Cleaned carburetor. AirFilter looked new so only blew out the tube. Cleaned and looked over connections and all Looks Good. Well I am ready to hook up a battery and try and start her for the first time and have some ??? 1. Do I need to manually get gas into the lines, pump, and to the carburator prior to trying to start? 2. Should I put her on Maint. Mode before trying to start her? 3. If so, and in maint. mode, do I need to put her on jack stands as well? 4. Finally, how do you start this thing??? (Totally new to this). Sounds like I just step the gas pedal and it starts on its own? No warmup, just get up and go? I have searched and can't find an initial start procedure. Please help as I am SUPER EXCITED to get this thing going and start the Mods!!! |
