I have now changed a whole bunch of parameters with OEM access after reading my controller's manual carefully. However, mine are very cart-specific and based on my own desired driving characteristics which are not typical.

I wanted to increase top speed but slow down the acceleration, and fix the BDI to work with the new lithium battery.

For example, to set max speed, you need to increase multimode drive current level (C/L) to max, and then lower the field min value to get your desired outcome, but not any lower than your DC motor's capabilities, which are model-specific. And this should be done while driving the vehicle.

Also, keep in mind that the M1-M4 refers to the multimode. You can see which multimode your controller is using in the monitor dashboard in the Curtis software after connecting the programmer to the controller.

Reference:

"The minimum field current limit parameter defines the minimum allowed
field current, thus determining the vehicle’s maximum speed. Field Min can be adjusted from 1.6 amps up to the lowest programmed M1–M4 Restraint value. The Field Min parameter is tuned as part of the vehicle performance
adjustment process."
Thanks for the quick tips. I have a 2019 E-Z-Go TXT Elite with the Gen 1 Samsung SDI lithium batteries. (2 modules ~60AH). Unsure of whether it's in "freedom" mode or not but it does do 19mph on GPS. A few more MPH and a little more initial torque off the line would be awesome. Not looking to push anything to far but our neighbor has an Evolution Cart that leaves us in the dust so would like to hang with them if possible. I'll get the rest of the information for you on Friday when I can put hands on the cart.

Will do. I ordered my Molex connectors and the 3.3V cable yesterday (arrival is Sept 14-16 - no prime for some reason), so it'll be a bit before I can give it a shot!

I found in this thread (post #1 by Tim), these are the settings I would change for my 2024 E-Z-GO RXV ELiTE, sound right?

I don't know what a 'freedom enable key' is though, but I'm working on the cable and obviously have a laptop.

If yours can go 19 mph, it's already in freedom mode

3.3V is ideal. I am not aware of a decent video of the Curtis software. What are you wanting to see exactly? Here is the only video I believe I saw that shows at least some of what we need but each controller has totally different parameters
and some have changed names so reading your controller manual is required:
