Default 10008025PKG install tips

Hopefully I’ll be receiving the Samsung 10008025PKG to upgrade my 2024 RXV refresh from 2.2 to 4.2. Item should be shipping next week.

Has anyone done this install and able to provide any tips?

Thank you!

Should be pretty straightforward. Disconnect existing cables, pull the battery out. Connect cell module busbars to the existing battery, I'm thinking this would be easier on the bench vs in the cart. Put back in the cart, bolt it down, reconnect the wires. Don't forget the cable that links the two batteries.
Take a couple pics if you can and good luck!

Take a pic of all cables and wires before you start as cartboymentioned.
Our memory is not as good as we think it is when it comes to wireing 😊

You just want to get the voltage of the main battery as close to the additional cell module as possible before you electrically connect the two together. Otherwise you have one battery charging the other one.

I wouldnt waste time driving it to bring down the charge as suggested, id use a discharge machine and keep an eye on the voltage.

We do not have a discharge machine.

Seats look comfy, are they? Who makes them?

Since you already pulled the main battery and don't have a discharger, you don't have much options. You could use a bench power supply to charge both the main and the cell module up to the same voltage.
I don't know how critical this is, it definitely sounds like a best practice recommendation. The cell module is probably at 30-50% SOC because of shipping regulations, so it's not totally discharged. Maybe the main battery isn't at 100%, so the delta between them isn't that high.
As precaution, you could use jumper cables to link the two batteries electrically and let them balance out for a few hours. Do it outside in case of fire - very unlikely but there's always a risk with these types of batteries.
