Default Re: Vatrer Lithium Golf Cart battery

I opted to mount charger in the cart. Had plenty of room to this since battery took up less space the my 6 batteries did. I added a male 120 volt plug below seats where an older shift lever would be mounted since mine is toggle switch selector.

I would have no problem using Valtere battery.

Between dash display which I use along with phone app. You always know your batteries capacity before next charge needed.
I used to charge after every weekend of use up campground. Now recharge won’t be needed for several weekends of use.
Battery self discharge almost non exsisting once battery is turned off.
Mine has not discharged 1%in past 5-6 weeks unlike lead acid.

You will need to swap out heavy duty leaf springs if useing them
The reduction in weight will cause stiffer ride if not.
Better acceleration. Longer use between charging. No more watering batteries and rusting issues on battery tray and frame.

Cost between Trojan,u s batteries and lithium small compared to benefits imo 😊

Yes, I have that in mine. It’s good for 400 amps.

With my cart residing in northern Michigan I'm thinking the heated battery option would be a good idea though the cart sees limited use during the cooler months or can i wrap a lithium battery with heated blanket for cool weather charging

About ready to pull the plug and purchase the Vatrer 48V 105AH HEATED battery, the cart is in northern Michigan so there is the potential for use of the cart and the need to recharge in ambient temps during the winter. I intend on using Pressure treated 2x material and plywood to prepare the existing battery frame to accept and secure the new battery after cutting off the existing battery hold downs. 125V 15A AC Port Plug for ease in charging setup.

Planning to use the Vatrer 48V/72V to 12V Golf Cart Power Converter and remove the AGM wheelchair battery I currently use to power LED lights.

ScottyB's Mode Speed and Regen dash mounted dials to control the XCT500 controller from the seat would be nice but not yet required assuming it would work and I would guess it should.

I don’t think it’s just a matter of heating the battery “when” you want to charge it, it’s the core temperature when you charge it. I would think you would have to maintain a temperature above 32 degrees when it is not in use. Unless you have the automotive technology then I guess a heated garage would the best option. What duration of time will you be using it in the cold? Are you stopping at a restaurant or bar for several hours while the cart is parked outside?

A few thoughts I had about lithium battery heating are a waterbed heater (ya, I’m old) if you can find one, heat tape for water pipes, heated roof strips used for deicing the roof edge or maybe what they use for heating water for cattle.

Not that I need anything like this living in Florida😎
