Default Upgrading Cart with current Lithium batteries.

Okay I know I have gone down a few different routes on here but everything through EZGO is so expensive and they really bind you to their OEM stuff. I want to take my 2018 EXGO RXV Freedom Elite Lithium batteries out and go with the Eco EB 160 AH batteries. I know I will need a new controller and have been told I need a new wiring harness but the wiring harness 671770 on ezgo looks like it is used on the Lithium and the Lead Acid battery units. I know with my current setup the battery BMS communicates with the controller and that is why the two need to be replaced. Can anyone link the 600 AMP Navitas controller I would need and which harness I would need to switch out?

I was in the same boat with our 2020 and cartboy informed me that Eco Battery is coming up with something to replace them with out chaning the controller or wiring harness. I did call and talk to them directly and they confirmed they are indeed doing that and also developing their own controller with hopes of it all being out by the end of the year. I recommend you call and confirm because it did not seem like a super high priority but with many calls it might become that way.

I was in contact with them via email and ask that exact question and they said there is nothing in the works but maybe I will call them.

Does the navitas will work with an RXV elite harness?

I was going to swap out the harness for one that used lead acid batteries but according to the ezgo website the lithium and lead acid carts use the same harness so it confused me.

That would be great because if you had it now I would buy it in a hearbeat. I can wait till after winter as my batteries are still fine I just wanted the added range.

Looks like 2016-2022 lead acid and 2017-2021 lithium used the same harness

That's what confused me, I know how to replace the batteries and the controller but do I just unplug the plug that goes to the Bms?
