Eco EB told me directly you need a new controller and wiring harness to do it. I'm guessing you need a harness from a rxv lead acid battery and then I'd go with a navitas controller.

I was just told by FSIP that they could reprogram the controller back for use with lead acid batteries. Now I believe I will need to replace the wiring harness before installing a different/less expensive and larger amperage brand of lithium.

I ordered 3 Gen1 samsung cells (i only need 2 but it came with 3) and will be embarking on installing them to give me 120ah vs 60ah on my cart. I will make a new post as I go to help any others that might want to upgrade their Gen 1 cells without shelling out $5200.

I got a pretty good deal but usually you'll spend about $1500 for a complete 2 cell unit. Mine were 3 cells only so I ordered the bottom tray, top tray, cover etc.. So I'm waiting for those to come.

I have a 2022 RXV Elite with 2nd gen Samsung battery. I have flashed the controller and my top speed is 31 mph but range has suffered to one round of golf. I have purchased an ECO 105ah battery and would like any information regarding the installation you may share. I'm in Arizona, fairly hilly terrain. Thanks in advance, Mike.

Where did you buy the cells from? And I’m assuming when you say “cells”, you mean the modules?

Yes cell modules or slave modules. Gen1 is out of production so you'd be looking on eBay, etc. I have a few squirreled away. Buying a new gen2 battery is what the dealer will want to sell you on.
