![]() I have a 2018 Elite with the Samsung lithium battery pack (dated 2017). A discharge test only resulted in 54 minutes run time. Can the Samsung battery be replaced with an Allied or ECO? I am being told that EZGO designed these to only work with the Samsung package. Does anyone have any experience with this?

![]() Seems strange to me that the battery would need replacing after only 7 years...

![]() Doesn’t the OEM Samsung battery have something like an 8 year warranty? Pretty sure that’s what a friend of mine told me.

![]() RXV. Yes, there is an 8 year warranty, but I doubt that is going to help us much since it is prorated and the cart still runs fine; just shorter travel distance. Just really looking to see if anyone has had any experience swapping out the Samsung with a different brand. The Samsung is only 60ah.

![]() RXV controller gets upset when the Samsung battery is removed and it won't run. The TXT gives a fault code, but will keep on running.
How many amps is your discharge test? If it's 60 amps, then 54min-1hour is still good. |

![]() There is a Gen 1 to Gen 2 conversion kit. Unless you want to change out the controller, wiring harness, battery, and charger you'll need to go with the ezgo Samsung Gen1 batteries which for the 120AH kit comes in at $5200.

![]() I believe the single cell 60AH is $2800, you can always add another cell later.

![]() My real question is, this; do I need to replace the controller and wiring harness in order to switch to a different brand lithium battery? I have been told a couple of different things.
