Have you confirmed your controller type and acquired a programming cable?

The FLIC data file you need for the Programming Tool can be found at this post:

Yes. That post confuses me. I downloaded the program mentioned but find no Evolution.exe in any folder. I see a flic file in there, no idea if it is correct. I read this from a post in another thread. The poster said these 4 items were successful to program his Denago :
>>>
EVP205ENG programming software
ACS1-20210427-1-E-C.fdev
License-涛涛车业-20220728093738(1)-TAO.flic
Programming Cable For FJ Controllers from cartcables.com
>>>

I have searched this forum and google for hours and cannot locate "ACS1-20210427-1-E-C.fdev". I'm basically lost lol

If you accept the defaults during install, the EVP205ENG software goes to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\EVCTRL\EVProgrammer

See my attached photo. Delete the existing FLIC and replace with your downloaded FLIC

For a Tao/Denago cart, the default FDEV will work but you may see a warning about BMS. You can ignore that and continue

Thank you, you found my first problem. My folder is called "ICON" and has no eveolution.exe within it. Somehow I d/l'd the incorrect software front end.

The attached PDF gives an overview of the FDEV internals while attempting to not go too deep into the weeds.
By reading this I'm understanding that the FDEV corresponds to the software version of the cart. Any ideas on 2023+ software versions?

a large section of the fdev is just an index into the FJ controller and how to interpret the data at that location. The various versions of fdev files are mostly the same with a few new entries but most are typo corrections and additional fields added to existing entries.

When you say 2023+ are you referring to the evolution 400-C controller? Or?
