evoster, does the Evolution Programming tool work for the Tao Champ carts? Worried about the EVProgrammer.msi app/ Specifically the .msi?

the msi is just the microsoft installer app. The screens of that are in chinese, asking about install location. You can point your phone at the screen and let google translate show you the translations. But the defaults are good, just click next/ok

the ev programming tool itself has an english/chinese radio button selection in upper right

As long as your cart has an FJ controller, that app will work. You may need a different flic/fdev but I think the ones with the msi install will work

evoster, thanks. Got it loaded and connected without issue. But when I go to access the app, it says 'Unauthorized access to the device! Please update the License file'. I guess that is the flic/fdev? Any idea where I get a good one?

I'm attempting to utilize the Evolution Programming Tool to configure a 2024 Venom EV Strike (FJ 350A controller).

Using license file 'License-HDK-20201118114751.flic' and loading device file 'ACS1-20210427-1-E-C.fdev'; I receive 'Unauthorized access to the device! Please update the License file.' when connecting to the cart.

Your help in overcoming this error is greatly appreciated.

FWIW, my cart is an EZ Kruiser (a somewhat new, local manufacturer), but it appears to use the same FJ controller I keep seeing with Evolution branding on it. Mine does not have the Evolution branding, but I believe it's got the same internals.
