RXV and Liberty Lithium max speed tuning 30MPH

RXV Speed up service: Maximum 30 MPH.
Follow same procedure for Liberty 1206AC-5250.

Tools required:
Freedom enable keys
Curtis programming Laptop #1
Programming cable 1309

Connect to the vehicle diagnostics port under the seat.

Open YAT and click connect (baud 57600).
Select RXV Curtis for predefined commands.
confirm the controller is unlocked (the AAh message must be seen to continue)
click change speed limit, then select the speed limit.
Close YAT.


Open 1314 Programming station and connect. Make the following changes
Profile selection = 2
Rapid hill climb = on
Drive limiting map high power, all plus delta = 85%

if customer wants faster acceleration:
1 Aggressive accel LS = 2.0
1 Aggressive accel HS = 2.0


with golf wheels the max speed is 27 MPH and motor at 9000 RPM

Never seen YAT before but interesting.. What if the controller is not unlocked?

YAT is a programming tool and you load the attached file, remove the .txt part to get the curtis programming buttons.

What is needed to be done to unlock it if AAh doesn’t appear?

Wow this actually works. Tested on a 2022 Express S4 Elite2.0 that was converted to LSV street legal. I downloaded the program from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/y-a-terminal/ and the attached script file, did a virus scan it was all clean. Loading the script into the terminal wasn't obvious, eventually I found if you right click predefined commands you get a window where you can "import page from file", see photo 1. Then it couldnt find the file... and thats because it was actually called "RXV Curtis.yacp.txt" and my PC showed it as "RXV Curtis.yacp", to rename the file I had to turn on show file extensions in windows, see photo 2. Now it found the file and loaded the buttons.

I clicked connect and it showed 24H then AAH unlocked message, then clicked change speed limit, followed by 25 MPH then closed the program down. When I went back to 1314 programmer I found freedom mode speed was changed to !<25> MPH, clicking on it you get an error message saying the parameter is out of range (photo 4). I closed the error message and looked for other changes, didnt see any. Per the original instructions, it says change to profile 2, the Express S4 is already freedom mode enabled when new, so I left it as profile selection 5.

We drove the cart and it was faster than before, more than 30 mph on the GPS, and the speedometer was now reading 25 mph!! Previously it would only read up to 20 mph. So after finding this out, we changed the Speed to RPM value back to the original factory level (255.0) and drove it again, 25 mph on the speedometer and 25 mph on the GPS - finally got it properly calibrated

I would say this is cool but what is it doing that the Programming Station 4-6-x program isn't already doing?

Programming station doesn't let you move the speed above 19.5 on the S4, only Liberty allowed up to 25 from the factory.

I haven't seen or have an S4 cpf, I wish I had one to see what it would do in developer mode.

That YAT might be the thing to have.
