1996 club car ds won't move
Hi everyone,
I have a 96 club car ds, bought about 2 months ago. Was having battery troubles, replaced all 6, 8v batteries. Everything was good till yesterday, cart started surging and then just lost power. I towed to my shop. Solenoid clicks, battery voltage at solenoid both sides 50.9v . Motor makes a slight hiss or humm for a few seconds then solenoid shuts off. Turn key off and back on same thing. It does try to turn wheels when on my lift but then quickly shuts down. I bought this cart with this problem and replaced batteries then no more problems. I did get it to run again by unhooking battery pack and turning key on and flooring accelerator for 30 seconds. After reconnecting batteries it runs fine. WTF? Sometimes after riding then stopping somewhere and going back to ride it, *** thing wont move. mess with key, flip toggle FandR switch nothing except solenoid click. Then suddenly it will go and run fine. *** thing has me baffled. |
