Default At it again, need some advice

I am painting a buddies cart over the winter. As you can see by the pics the body is pretty rough. How can I fix this? Bondo? Just got it cleaned up today and started taking it apart today.

A good reinforced styrene filler will work. If the body is in really bad shape, it might save you a lot of time and effort by just replacing it. Stock TXT plastic bodies are usually pretty cheap.

Thanks for the response. I thought about replacing but cant seem to find a good used body around here? I have seen some say not to use sandpaper on plastic body but I see no other way of fixing this one. What grit would make a paintable surface so there are no visible scratches in the paint?

You can check out the sticky at the top of the paint and body section that is called "prep work for painting plastic bodies". I always use a polyester glazing putty for filling scratches. You can use sandpaper but be very carefull because you don't want to sand to far into the plastic and create fuzzies anywhere you arent putting the filler. I usually will use about 320 grit on an orbital sander. Anywhere you are just scuffing for primer I always just use maroon scotchbrite. And don't forget the adhesion promoter before primer on the bare plastic.

Well like I said the body on this one is pretty rough but got her good and smooth finally. Here is a couple of pics. What do you guys use to degrease? Got to get it washed and clean before the bullydog adhesion promoter.

Do you think Dawn dish soap would be a good first degrease? just trying to get all the sanding dust off
