Black Starlight Powdercoat
My bro in law and I powder coated my cart this weekend. Turned out pretty good. When the sun hits it looks like bass boat. I'll try to get some better pics in the sun. Excuse the cart it's kinda dirty.

Re: Black Starlight Powdercoat
Powder Coating is the way to go. I have a cheap Harbor Frt coater and do everything I can fit in the oven. Hard as nails!!

Re: Black Starlight Powdercoat
The HF coater works great but the trick is following the directions on who's powder you use.
Temp, cook time and cool down rate are a bigger factor on hardness and gloss than the coater. And just to be clear, I use an old oven I got free cause the eyes didn't work. If you use momma's oven that Thanksgiving bird will never taste the same!! |

That's what I've been told about the oven. I guess you need to find an old one. Well I guess that will be the next toy. I'll just have to find something to powder coat. Thanks for the info.

Re: Black Starlight Powdercoat
Check with any appliance place, I called and the first one said, "you pick it up, you can have it". I guess it saves them on dump fees or something.
Harbor Frt carries the basic colors, red, black, yellow, white and a clear. Don't waste your time or money on the "chrome" powder. It is not what they say no matter how you do it. More like silver. Check ebay for any other color you might want or just google for it. |
