Default VW bug bumper on CC

They sell VW bug bumpers at JC Whitney for 75 bucks..A friend gave me this one that I hacked off the VW mounts and put it on my CC.

I have to agree. The bumper is just a "mock-up", needs to be raised 2 inches and mounts fabbed up and powder coated.. Then everything comes off plus the body for some candy apple green paint! If I dont change my mind again

Did you just test the structural integrity of the bumper by ramming the mail box ?

That bumper would not stand a chance. That stupid mail box post was here when I bought my house two years ago. My house is a corner lot and the previous owner was tired of the snow plows smashing it down every winter so he put that one in. It is twelve inch diamiter and half inch thick steel pipe with a one inch thick plate welded to the top. Its set three feet in the ground. I hate it, but I cant budge it. I even rammed it with my old cub cadet garden tractor and it didnt even move. You can have it if you can get it out, and out of here.
