Never been very good with the spray cans so I was really considering the roll on method using the painted diluted with mineral spirits. The car guys are using it on the bumpers. As with anything it is about the prep and cleaning prior to painting.

Two words for painting plastic kids "ADHESION PROMOTER" otherwise the paint will not last.

You can use either varity of adhesion promoter, rattle can or spray it from a paint gun. Just make sure the can says "plastic adhesion promoter" on it and follow the directions and you should be fine. I know Bulldog makes a rattle can version and as far as the paint gun versions go I use either the Dupont or the PPG brand but there are plenty of other companies that make it so it's just personal preference.
