weld stains on my garage floor
Hello, so I was new to welding and I welded inside my garage with a small plank of wood underneath however obviously the bits and pieces still flew everywhere and now I have all these little stains on the floor. The garage floor is made out of white tiles so here my question anyone know how to remove these stains? Thanks Robert

Those are burns and I think you will have to live with them.
You could try sanding them but you will never get an even shine on the floor again. |

Re: weld stains on my garage floor
You may be lucky! Yes, they are from burned iron and slag. The iron portion will rust leaving a rust colored stain. Try a cleaner called " CLR ". It is for rust and lime scale and it contains diluted phosphoric acid. Wet the end of a Q- tip with it and put only a small amount on the stain. Try a couple of stains and let this sit a few minutes and wipe up with a wet, then damp rag. If it works, then do all the stains! I say to only place it on the stain, as it may remove the glazing on the tiles. Try just a few places at first!
