Re: Looking to Upgrade to a New(er) Cart
With regards to battery choices...
I have 8x6 Crown CRV 260ah AGM batteries (sealed maintainance free).. Between my previous cart and my new 2020 I40 ( as my agms were practically new had them transferred to my I40...) Now between the 2 carts my Crown AGMs have driven me 0ver 2090 miles trouble free Just don't use a Lester Summitt 2 with these as the Lester profile 22259 at that time fried my original Crown AGMS running them through multiple 20 minute long phase 2 67-68v charge cycles... But now with an Eagle Pro 4818 provided by my local DualPro charger dealer,...my new set of agms are doing very nicely...The Eagle Pro is repairable but Lester Summitt 2 not so much.. Yes these guys are 630 lbs heavy....not at all light compared to lipo batteries. but with these you don't have lipo bms issues and other lipo related challenges. Perhaps one day when my agms need replacing the lipos along with the bms will be truly ready for me... Lipos are for those who want to tinker.. |

I'm starting to suspect that Dongguan Lvtong Golf and Sightseeing Car Co., Ltd. (German+Chinese company) is behind most of the new golf carts being built. They are, in fact, involved in Icon. |

Re: Looking to Upgrade to a New(er) Cart
Found something of interest here :
https://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/dongglvtong The third paragraph on this page lists some key components they make for EZGO and Yamaha... So as much as we wish to buy all USA products does not seem very likely as even EZGO perhaps even Club Car has numerous parts sourced from China.. |
