Fixed up a 2007 TXT PDS
Hello.
First post, but y'all have been an excellent resource when I needed to search something out. Wanted an inexpensive cart to run around our new neighborhood and daily drive to work once we are back in the office....about a mile away from home. Figured I would aim for getting one nicely running for at or under $2K. Picked up this 07 PDS for $600. The seller threw in the dead batteries for cores, a new light kit, some non-broken arm-rests, plus it has a whole rear seat kit. Was just a runaround for a trailer sales place and supposedly had been stored indoors for its life. Aside from being filthy with dust, it was indeed not all rusty anywhere. Decide to take the chance since I couldnt easily test it. Pics from the day I went to check it out sitting in a spare trailer: Started taking things apart. Did a little powerwashing and just 303'd the plastic stuff Cleaned this up somewhat decently - Fluid Filmed the metal / frame / ect. New batteries Took the rear seat off for now. I cant have this thing sticking off the back or it wont fit in my garage - I think I am going to chop off the foot rest or modify it to hinge up sometime soon. It is also HEAVY as hell. Cut in some lights, generously given to me with the cart Lights in, and redid the seat in black. |

Re: Fixed up a 2007 TXT PDS
Its parking spot lol. Sort of fits! - going to throw a black roof on it
Then some more big boxes showed up from GolfCartTireSupply! YES So there we are. Im all in this at around $2K. Its clean and works great. Should get the job done nicely. Only regret is buying a cheap-o eBay charger. It does work - slowly (5A), but I have to monitor it as I dont think it will ever cut off. I've been turning it off just before the pack reads 44V on my voltage tester. Maybe it can go higher? Will try and find a better 'smart' one soon as I can. |

Looks great and pretty nice score to have a cart customized how you want it for $2000 total.

Re: Fixed up a 2007 TXT PDS
Thanks!
Bought one of those $5 "Freedom chip" plug things and put it on last night, as well as some alignment work. Went from 15 to 21 MPH. Much better. Now Ill get into cutting up and reupholstering the rear seats and get them back on sometime. |

Looks great and good find. Roughly how much did it cost for the new batteries? I will likely have to do that soon on my restoration project.
