Jody Powell from ARC answer on the balance shaft issue was " Some people say it does vibrate more and some people say it will knock the fillings out of your teeth at certain RPMS. I haven't had the courage to find out which was true. ARC does sell an internally balanced billet crankshaft BUT it is around $500.

Mine is pulled from the engine but I drag race it.
For a cruiser or for daily fun, leave it in as idk if it really vibrates more.
I had a stock 420 before and now a 460 with the balance shaft removed.
They both vibrated the mini bike. The 460 may be more, but it also has more stuff done to it

Also thanks Black Death, that helps tremendously. The balance shaft will be kept.

Also of what benefit would the billet flywheel be if any?

#1 issue is that somewhere over 5000 the cast iron flywheel can come apart. The exact number seems to be vague. That being said for my 6500 rpm Omega build a billet flywheel is here. #2 Issue is that the big hunk of iron out on the crank causes much more stress to the engine block itself. Again ARC offers a double bearing billet front cover to minimize stress to the crank and block. Most of all of this has more to do with 7000-8000 race engines and not 5400 rpm golf cart engines.P.S. My cast iron flywheel has never been off the crankshaft since it left VC's vegas shop in 2014.

I spin my stock vc flywheel to 6500 rpms, but not for minutes upon minutes, more like around 10 seconds.

Hey guys, not that I'm second guessing anyone's advice, I spoke with VC today
about my objectives. I may have to back track a bit. The person I spoke with gave me some other advice. I was told that by the time I spent the money on the 420 Greyhound's mods and upgrades I could easily get the same power and speed from the Predator V twin clone. I would have a much more reliable engine with more torque and speed. I also wouldn't have to ad an alternator. Really the only thing I would need would be the install kit and an exhaust. Alas I guess I have some soul searching to do.

Just bear in mind with stock tires and stock gears with the 4000 rpm governed the top speed will be low 20's. Performance 670 sells parts for more rpms but the cams are expensive. I also didn't know they had a G2 vtwin kit Yet

Yeah, when I spoke with Jeff this afternoon he informed the kit was actually cheaper. What do you think in regards to the longevity and initial cost. I checked out the 670 Performance site and you're defenitely correct about the pricey cam. The billet rods seemed rather reasonably priced though. Wonder what kind of speed I'll get with the 22" tires? Gonna do some more research while I'm getting the frame ready.
