Re: Brake Light Pedal Pressure Switch Pad
This may sound crazy but I took apart an old power wheels 4 wheeler (kids toy) and the pressure switch for the go pedal looks like it would make the perfect setup for a brake light switch on a golf cart. I haven't done it yet but I was just throwing it out there. Maybe somebody can use the idea.

Re: Brake Light Pedal Pressure Switch Pad
I have brake lights on all of my Club Cars They actually don't use pressure switches but reverse-close micro-switches that actuate when the brake pedal is depressed. It uses the exact same logic as the accelerator micro-switch on our HDs. Just another option to think about.

Re: Brake Light Pedal Pressure Switch Pad
I used the same micro switch from the gas pedal to activate the brake lights on my three wheeled cart. I mounted the switch at the end of the cable mounted at the axle end. When the bake pedal is depressed, the cable moves away at the pivot and releases the switch.

Be sure the feed is keyed or the brake lights will stay on when the park brake is locked.

Thanks for all the insight, looks as though the way to go is the micro switch, thanks all.
