i have burned Methanol with top end lube mixed with it in a rag and it smokes a bit! at least enough to know its burnin'

yup. i thought so too. I mean if they are testing it for public use of methanol, then ya know it has to be good.

DS, I don't know if you can purchase those additives. I do know that toluene is especially nasty, major carcinogen if I remember correctly.

I will ask a friend I have that runs JR dragsters on the stuff. See what he does.
