Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
Sergio, do you think there's an issue with the motor? I sold him this package and I'd love to get it right for him. I referred him to Alltrax to see what Will and Ron thought about it. We tried a few things and were never get it to behave correctly, but from what I can tell everything on the log looked good.

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
The only recurring anomaly I see in the logs is the "HPD Ran" switching from 1 to 0 during a 100% throttle (monitor4.csv is a good example).
A possible cause would be the MCOR micro-switch bouncing while the pedal was high, but since he already tried different MCORs, I am thinking is being caused by a bad connection in that TPS to MCOR adapter. I would recommend cutting that off and soldering the wires straight through, the Alltrax Controller would work better without the resistors there anyway. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
When I pull the MCOR adapter, should I put the High Pedal back on?
Thanks |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
The "High Pedal Detect" (HPD) is a safety feature that prevents the cart from taking OFF at high speed if the pedal was at maximum at the time the Controller got the "go ahead" input.
It is a good feature so it should remain active unless you are trying to troubleshoot. Once you remove the wires from the adapter and solder them or use butt-joint crimps, do a few 0-100% pedal presses (cart in neutral) to allow the Alltrax Controller to re-calibrate the low and high throttle values as they will change without the resistors in the circuit. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
I removed the MCOR adapter. I drove the cart for 6.5 miles without an issue. I put the cart on the charger and came back in a few hours to drive to Walmart and all the jerk and stop was back in full force.
I created another log and drove around to record the behavior. I can gently step on the pedal and get the cart going, but when I hit a bump the cart will cut out. If I step on the pedal hard from a standstill, the cart just jerks and sometimes it will stop when running full speed. I've attached another log to see if anyone can see anything. Thanks again |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
I noticed something I had seen in one of the other logs but since it only happened one time I dismissed.
In the chance that it is actually happening more often but not being logged, You may want to try by-passing the OBC charger interlock. There is a single entry on the log that shows a "1" on the charger plugged column, based on the activity surrounding that event it could not have been caused by You actually plugging the charger. Your OBC may not be providing a consistent signal on the Blue wire. You can try unplugging the 6-pin connector from the OBC and putting a jumper on the harness side connector between the White and the Blue wires. That will not allow that interlock signal to "float" which would cause the Controller to be disabled. I know it is not easy to get to the electronics on the Precedent, but we need to remove all possibilities. If You do that and run another log, just do it one time from stopped to full throttle then turn OFF after you stop again. It is hard to tell if the 0 throttle signal logged was intentionally caused by you or the result of a failure. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
I just want to be sure I have this right.
Unplug the obc from the controller Jumper the blue and white wire on the controller side Run the log with the obc disconnected I was not charging when that appeared in the log. I bought a creeper last week, since I've been under the cart so much. Thank heavens for the 23" tires. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
Correct, the OBC has a 6-pin male Deutsch connector, the mating connector on the harness has female sockets so you can stick a wire jumper on the sockets that lineup with the White and the Blue wires.
You will not be able to charge the cart with the OBC unplugged, but it will allow us to test if the lockout signal is causing issues. Don't start the log until after you have maneuvered the cart to a place where You can drive straight, then turn the log ON, press the pedal all the way down and stop the log after the cart either fails or you stop on purpose. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Jerks and Stops
Did a quick run. The cart didn't get jerky, so I just stopped. I started on a fairly steep hill which will usually induce the jerk. File attached.
