Default Cart Slowed Down

I have lost about 5 mph off the top speed of my cart. It is a 2007 Precident. 6-8v Trojan 875 about 3 years old. 2gauge cables, stock controller, plum quick motor. For the last 3 years I have gotten Round 26 mph on flat ground. I noticed this weekend, I didn't have as much speed or torque and checked it with my GPS. Down to around 21-22 mph. Batteries are fully charged. The only thing I noticed over the past few months is my pack is showing 50.9 after a full charge where it used to show around 51.1. All batteries are within 1/10 of a volt of the others. Any suggestions on what may have caused my decrease in speed?

I considered that. I'm not in a position to put it on jack stands right now. I let it coast several times and it feels like it is rolling freely. But, that is still a possibility. Will check that as soon as I can jack it up

Bad/corroded battery connections or anywhere else in the high current circuit.

Problem solved. Normally I wouldn't post something that made me look so stupid, but just in case anyone else has a similar brain fart... The issue ended up being under inflated tires. 3 of them had dropped to 20 psi and the 4th had a staple in it and was around 5 psi. Air them all back up to 33psi and am getting 27mph on the flat ground.

Glad you posted that. It is one of the things we bring up when people say they have lost speed. We should have said something about tire pressure.
