Smile Methanol

Does anyone know of an additive that makes the flame of methanol visible?

Our dragsters will show a flame at night on straight methanol. That is out of a 27" exhaust pipe.

Nice dragster. I'm talking about if it were to catch fire.

At Indy they would simply watch for the heat shimmer and throw a blanket over it. Of course, the driver falling to the ground waving his arms and legs is a good indicator too. I have not heard of any additives for this condition.
