Default new cable mounting

These are maybe questions that I should know the answer to or have the common sense to know.....so I guess that is why I am asking

I just made all new 4g wires for my 36v 92' tank. I am fixing to replace all my "nuts" as well to put them back on with.

1st Question is there any certain kind I should get (i.e. Stainless etc), or just regular old nuts ?

2nd Question, what is the correct way the lugs should be connected to each post on the F/R and motor ? Every thing I took off was different. Does it need to be lug/lock washer/nut ? Thats how most of them were that came off. Should the lug be between washers, or just a washer between the lug and nut ? Should they be lock washers against the lug ?

3rd question, what is the proper way on the motor ? There is a crap looking nut on the bottom of each motor post now that won't clean up with a wire brush, then the lug, then a star washer, then another nut. Do I just replace the two nuts on each post and new star washers ?

I hope this makes some kind of sense to someone on here. I just want to make sure after making new cables and stuff that it goes back together like it should and everything new. Thanks.

The stock configuration is copper stud/ lock washer/nickel plated nut/cable lug/ lock washer/ nickel plated nut. I use 316 Stainless nuts on my battery post which is what normally comes with Trojan batteries.

Awesome man, thanks for your trouble. I am off to the hardware store or where ever I end up finding them. Btw, NONE of my cables were hooked up that way. I have told you before, but you have a VERY nice cart. Thanks again and I am finally ready for new batteries after today !

Thanks for the compliments. I did not look like that when I first started. I make the cables myself and sell them on the side but not cheap.
