How do I wire up a 12 volt lighter socket?

Pick up a 12V converter and run off of it as you will want to add other goodies also. There are a lot of them out there I suggest 20amp. They will come with wiring diagrams. Go to search here and put in "12V converter" stand back and you will be hit with a lot of help from prior posts. Several have pictures, etc.

Or.. just run a positive and negative 10awg wire straight to the battery!
(with a 20 amp inline fuse on the positive side, of coarse!)
