Newbie from Vegas
Hi all, just registered and thought I would make my first post. We have a Western 100 series gas golf cart. We use it for drag racing. I bought it used from a golf cart shop. My wife normally drives it. It has a gas powered 2 cylinder engine. On several occasions we towed friends cars back to the pits (I need to figure a better way to make a tow strap hold down on the rear end). Our race car is not yet finished but we still love the cart. I think the frame is a Yamaha frame. I also think it is a L-11 engine? The last time I used the cart I noticed that it was sagging and found the rear portion of the frame was 1 X 2 steel and cracked and I needed to reweld it back up, took 10 minutes. It still has a slight sag on the drivers side. So I'll have to fix that up with springs spacers (Frame and bushings are very good). The cart is nice and has lots of things on it (We added AM/FM, CD/DVD player). When we paint the race car we will paint it to match the car. We paid 1200 for it so I thought it was a deal. I'll be lurking around these forums for info to make it run better and get parts.
