Default Alltrax Fuse eliminated

Alltrax announced that it will not longer include their trademark fuse with each controller as they have for 20 plus years. Alltrax was the only controller manufacturer to spec and provide a fuse.

I often didn’t use it. Do you think it’s a big deal with the safety features included in the controllers?

Warranty is now void without it.

So they no longer include it but state if you don't install one still your warranty is no good? That seems like an oversight there....Hopefully ScottyB can provide clarity from what he knows as a vendor for them.

I was afraid they would do that.
No other controller manufacturer specs a fuse.
I would think if it's an issue everyone of them would be using them.
Another statistic is I sell about 1 replacement fuse for each 500 controllers sold.
I hate to say it but this looks like another price hike.

I was told any equivalent fuse of the same size and burn rate will do.

Wells if its only the fuse thats not much of a hike at least.. They are typically inexpensive. I bought one of those fancy inline fuse holders which came with a 500a fuse for mine.

The Alltrax Fuse is $21-31.00
That's a 5% price increase.
Which brings us to about 30% in cost increases over the past 2 years. Or 2 times the worst inflation numbers.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Scotty, I've got an Alltrax XCT48300, and no fuse. Is the fuse necessary? What would be the proper fuse?

Are you near Apple Valley?
