Any options or way around the single pop (backfire) at shutdown?

I cut 1 1/2" off the mufflers exit pipe

I will be installing this 90° turn down tailpipe tomorrow after the black exhaust paint cures overnight

It was $11.29

Is something wrong with the fuel grommet part number I posted ? You never replied back. For what reason I don't have a clue.
I own a 2005 MPT 1200 and the number I give you is the one I bought and as you can see in this picture it works great.
You asked and wondering what happened ? Maybe yours is different than mine.

The old one or the new one ? or have you ordered one yet ?

Mine was loose and leaking . New one fit nice and tight. I really didn't want to pay that much for something this simple but I did.

The grommet is not something these manuals normally list. I have an old ezgo parts book that shows pictures with the part numbers . I googled that part number and it showed on country cat.

The parts diagram doesn't even list the grommet that's why I had to ask

I'll order a new one today
