Default Anyone familiar with Dana Spicer rear end?

Hello All,

Im customizing my 85 Marathon with a 10" lift and I ran into a big problem with the motor. Ive reached out to several companies and it looks like my only solution would be to change out my rear axle. Someone is selling "NEW DANA SPICER EZ-GO 012AJ375-1 12.44:1 REAR AXLE 012WD116 5139A70503 GOLF CART" and just not sure what motor this takes and if its worth it?

Also I have to verify if the width will work as well. i know I'll have to modify it to get it installed on my cart. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!!

this is the type of rear end that most EZGOs use (Dana Spicer) what makes you think it won't just swap out?? looking at the drawing, from hub to hub it measures 38.163"... compare it to yours.

I just measured it today and its 2"s shorter than my current rear end. I know I can make it fit but I might have to install wheel spacers. I was more confused on the brand name and not being familiar with it.

Thanks for the info. I gotta look into the type of motor I can put on that rear end.
