Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
I was interested as well. It *kinda* looks like they adapted a 150cc scooter engine/cvt to run a golf cart. Its layout looks similar to a GY6.

I think the fuel injection would be nice.

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
I recently picked up a 2021 so not a long term experience, but so far I am very happy. Smooth, quiet, sealed, long oil interval, and the lower 150cc w/ EFI does not disappoint when compared to other gas carts at the dealer.

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
It is definitely a scooter motor. EZGo calls models with this engine "KYEFI" versions, which to me, means Kymco, a company that makes scooter/motorcycle engines.

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
Great pic. Does it still use a traditional transaxle mechanical governor?

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
That I couldn't tell you. There seems to be a definite lack of info out there, seemingly done so on purpose by EZGo. Dealers aren't really getting info either, and they've been told in so many words "just keep giving vague answers to questions about it"

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
That’s too bad because there’s nothing inherently wrong with the concept, especially if it’s smoother while still providing adequate power.

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
therealsr does it have plenty of power? Approximate top speed? I have a 2019 L6 Express gas. Has plenty of power but very noisey for the campground.

Re: EZGO EX1 Gas Engine
If it is made by Kymco, it's a proven platform. Not sure about the size though, 150cc seems really small to me.
