What kind of a throttle unit do these Col. Par Car use? Seem to be having a slight jerking problem at low speed...

2006 should have been still a Curtis PB-6, old fashioned pot box. 2007 went to a Sevcon LAD (Linear Accelerator Device).

The reason I asked...at low speed you can hear the solenoid kick in and out and the cart tends to jerk...wondering if the pot is going bad or if the regen is too touchy...thinking about turning off the regen but don't know if the dealer has to be involved or not...😎

Have to have a handset with dealer access code to adjust the regen. Assuming it was working fine before, nothing in the program would have changed by itself.

With a potbox, you could measure the resistance on the pot wires with power off and see if it is a nice smooth 0-5K sweep. If it jumps any, you have a bad pot box.

So...I am fairly sure that I have a bad pot...any concerns or things to watch out for when installing a new pot?

Not really. Pretty straight forward. If you figured out how to get the hood off you can handle the potbox.
