What did you do to/for your club car today?

At my camp there were three carts that sat over the winter with batteries unhooked.
Two carts had one battery freeze and split (one 8 volt, one 12 volt, date codes of 2013 and 2015)
All three carts show low specific gravity on all batts and after three weekends on chargers, will not take over 90% charge.

Greater Cincinnati area, coldest temp was -5 degrees F.

Up here, often starting batts, Trucks and big equipment take 2 either is series or parallel, often sit 4 to 5 months unattended in the cold without ill effects. 8 to 10 years is the average lifespan of these.

Well my batteries stay in the carts and come home and get parked in the garage, I charge them every other day and drive them for an hour or so three times a week.

When you're a snow bird from extreme cold country you don't have a lot of options. Here's the thread from two years ago, seems to have been all very good advice given my results.

Hey - I got my new cart home and put a digital battery meter in it.....I find it hard to believe this would not be cost effective and beneficial for the manufacture to do this. Two hot wires right behind the removable dash panel. Panel has an electrical quick disconnect.
Release one plug and take the panel to the workbench for the install. That's Sweet

The controller mounting panel is the same way.... Wait til you do your XCT. It's awesome being able to assemble it all on the bench and drop it in the car in one piece.

That's nice when they start thinking about the service aspect in production.

Yeah. That's why I'm such a big fan of the Precedent. They're so much easier to work on than the DS. You can even pull the motor without having to jack up the car. They put an access door in there just for that purpose.
